UPDATE: Still Alive

Well hello there to the people bothering to read this, it has been months since I last posted. If you have read my previous posts then you know that I was pregnant when I last posted, which was around April. It is now the end of October and I am happy to say I have a beautiful 5-month-old baby girl. In fact, she is sitting on me as I type this out for you all. Her name is Kimberly Grace. Her big sister Brilynn and bananas are her favorite thing in the world currently. I am really looking forward to getting back into posting now that the kids and I have some sort of a schedule worked out. My fellow stay at home mothers know the struggle I am referring to.

This post is just for me to fill you guys, my amazing audience, on the past few months that I have not updated or posted anything. Most of my time has been spent getting to know my new bundle of joy. She was born May 23, 2017. I was admitted into the hospital at 5 a.m. and she made her appearance at 12:26 p.m. The doctor almost did not make it in time as my labor went by so fast once it started to progress. Since then, I have learned how to cope with less sleep, how to change a baby on just about any surface, and how to cope with both a toddler, newborn, and adult responsibilities at the same time. Not as easy as it sounds. I stopped trying to plan ahead for things and now am just taking it one day at a time and cherishing my time with the wee ones.

My husband just recently got a new job that pays more and allows him to not work Friday through Sunday so that has been a major blessing for our family. On another blessed note, my first official wedding anniversary is approaching fast. On December 10th, it will have been a year since one of the best days in my life. The day I got to marry my best friend. Cliche; I know.

My plan is to find a schedule that works for me to allow for steady updating and if there is anything you would like for me to write about, any questions, etc. then feel free to drop a comment and I will do my best to please you! I am so thankful for every single person that takes the time to read any of my posts. My goal is to add some light to other’s days and provide a few pleasant moments of reading even if it is at the expense of my dignity.

One example of this would be the other day. My three, soon to be four, year old step-daughter asked me why my stomach was still so big. I replied by telling her that it was because it has not been very long since her baby sister left my stomach. She then proceeded to state, matter-of-factly that it was actually because there is now a baby brother in there cooking. Haha. Now I am looking into ab workouts to fit into my schedule as well. Anywho, that is all I am going to share at the moment but I look forward to seeing any comments you guys may leave me and I will begin working on another post shortly! Thank you again for taking the time to read my writing! 🙂

  1. Congratulations! I love the name you chose for her – so pretty!
Haha, kids have a way with words, don’t they? 😉
I’d love to see updates of any workouts you try and/or tips for losing the baby weight! I’m currently a few days shy of 25 weeks along so. I’ll be focusing on the same myself soon enough! 🙂
Looking forward to future posts from you.

  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GS_z6FG_jqE&list=LLNq3sjbEuXXs5E3kDX6igcA This is my favorite workout at the moment because of how hard it is to find time to actually exercise. This Youtube channel has so many good workouts to look at but the one I have mentioned is perfect for just starting out. It works every part of your body and doesn’t take long or push you too hard. And thank you so much! No one told me that the hardest part of having a baby would be deciding on a name lol. I would have to say that weeks 23 through 31 were my favorite. I wasn’t too miserable yet and I got to feel little miss rolling and kicking around almost constantly!

Haha, yeah, names are hard to choose sometimes. We finally decided on our little one’s name in the last week or so!
